Some people wait all week for Friday. Some people wait all year for Summer and sadly, some people wait all their life for happiness. Do you ever wonder what holds people back? Why we sometimes wait? What makes us put things off? Is it fear? Fear of the unknown? Fear of failing?
We were set a challenge in our writing group a few months ago. We were shown this image and then asked to write a short story of 2500 words.
We dug deep, as they say, and reached into our souls and as a result, twenty two beautiful and inspiring stories were born, so good that we decided to publish them in an anthology called ‘Stop Waiting For Friday.
Some will make you smile, some will make you laugh while others will make you reach for the kleenex. I am proud and excited to be one of the authors who took part in this challenge and my story ‘Inside The Mulberry Box’ is featured alongside these amazing stories.

Though my story is a fictional piece, there is some truth in there too. It was inspired by the memory boxes I have for both of my children and also the feelings of grief I experienced following my Mum’s death.
